Games of the Week
Mini Me's Orange vs. Scorpions
These 2 teams met on week 1 and the Scorpions took the opening season game and has been stinging their opponents ever since. The Mini Me's Orange team took what they could from that opening season lost and have pushed foward ever since. This week these 2 teams faced off for the #1 seed in this division. From the get go these 2 teams were fighting hard on defense. Neither team was willing to give up much. The Mini Miners led with under 1:30 minutes left in the game. But the Scorpions only need 30 seconds of that to score and tie the game at 13 all. But with literally seconds left on the game and what looked like for sure overtime, the Mini Miner QB was able to bob and weave thru the Scorpion defense and score a last second TD to take the win and the #1 seed. Final score Mini Me's 19 vs. Scorpions 13. Both teams should be proud of themselves, way to play hard!
Woverines vs. Rebels
These 2 teams met on field 3 and right from the get go, the defenses were ready to get at it! The Wolverines struck hard with their Sharp Claws and scored 2 TD's but failed to make their XTP's. The Rebels got Rebelious and scored 2 TD's of their own and an XTP to take the lead! The game coming to an end and the Wolverines needing a score they dug in deep and drove on the Rebels. The Rebels fought hard and held their ground on defense. This was a tooth and nail game! A game of yards, a game of inches, a game of take what you can get and GO!!! In the end the Wolverines where able to fight thru the might defense the Rebels had put up and take a game winning TD. Final Score Wolverines 15 vs. Rebels 13. Both teams should be proud of themselves, way to play hard!
Cowboys 12U vs. Wolverines Blue
The Cowboys where 0-4 coming into this game and the Wolverines Blue where 3-1. This was a David versus Goliath type of game if you looked simply at the standings. But if you know anything about football, you know to look at more than just numbers! The Cowboys came to the field and they had thier GUNS A BLAZING! David Who? The Wolverines came to the field and they had their CLAWS SHARP and READY FOR ACTION! Where was the DEFENSE in this GAME!!! There was 10TD's scored between both of these teams! 10!!!!! That is more than 2 TD's per half!!! But in the end TD's were simpy not enough! Extra points mattered as well and with seconds ticking on the clock, the Wolverines completed the XTP they need to put the game away! Final score Wolverines Blue 35 vs. Cowboys 34. Both teams should be proud of themselves, way to play hard!
