Games of the Week

Week 5

Lions 6U vs. Punishers 6U

One of the most exciting age groups to watch every season is the 6U age group. These little players are running super fast in their turbo charged shoes that their parents have bought them! They are able to run 50 mph with the simple over use of the shoulder sway or by squinting their face and eyes while running to go faster. There is no such thing as running the wrong way, there is only catch me if you can! This weekend the Lions and the Punishers had their little ones running fast and all over field 2. Both teams ran hard all game long. Both teams played their hearts out on offense, both played evern harder on defense. They played like the older age groups up until the very last game whistle! In the end it came down to a single extra point. With the final score being Punishers W 7 vs. Lions L 6. Way to play hard both teams!!! Both teams played like champions and this is why you made game of the week!

Thunder 10U vs. Tribe 10U

If you heard a loud roar of cheers throughout the 12pm hour coming from field 3, this game is the reason why. The Thunder and Tribe squared off for one of the most exciting games this weekend. From the get go this was an exciting game. Tremendous offensive plays, followed by big defensive plays. At times it seemed as if both teams could score at will, only to be held to no points by the opposing teams defense. The Tribe scored, Thunder answered! The Thunder scored, Tribe answered! Back and forth they went. Both defenses played tremendous! Who could hold the opposing teams offense? This battle waged on for 4 hard fought quarters. But in the end the Thunder were able to score 1 more TD than the Tribe. Final score on this game was Thunder 20 vs. Tribe 12. Way to play hard both teams!!! Both teams played like champions and this is why you made game of the week!

M.M. Blue 10U vs. Scorpions 10U

This game was between 2 teams that have been playing against each other for the past 3+ years. This season they faced each other as 2 unbeaten teams. A battle of the 2 heavy weights in this age group! Mahamad ALI vs. George Forman! Mike Tyson vs. Holyfield, Manny Paquillo vs. Floyd Mayweather... Ok, maybe not Paquillo/Mayweather, we know Mayweather is afraid and neither one of these teams were dodging each other this weekend! The whistle blew, the opening kick off was under way and off these 2 teams went! Score for score they exchanged! Neither team backing down from each other. Both teams showing their Championship caliber play! These 2 teams played a Championship type game against each other on week 5 of the season! In the end it came down to a 1 point differential! Final score Mini Miners Blue 28 vs. Scorpions 27. Way to play hard both teams!!! Both teams played like champions and this is why you made game of the week!
