Dec. 2, 1961: Don Haskins' first win as a college basketball coach is also his first game at Texas Western. The Miners shocked Iowa State 66-59.

March 3, 1963: Haskins takes the Miners to their first NCAA Tournament game. They lose to Texas 65-47.

March 4, 1964: They get their first NCAA Tournament win the next year, 68-62 over Texas A&M. 1963-64 was also his first 20-win season. The Miners went 25-3.

March 19, 1966: Texas Western wins the NCAA Tournament. Haskins makes history by starting an all-black lineup.

1967: Texas Western becomes the University of Texas at El Paso.

1970: The Miners win their first WAC regular-season title.

1984: The Miners win their first WAC Tournament title.

Sept. 29, 1997: Haskins is inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

Aug. 27, 1999: Haskins retires from the University of Texas at El Paso after 38 years.

Dec. 8, 2002: 1966 Miner point guard Bobby Joe Hill dies of a heart attack.

August 2004: Filming on Disney's "Glory Road" begins. It tells the story of the 1966 team.

Nov. 25-28, 2005: "Glory Road" premieres in El Paso.

Jan. 13, 2006: "Glory Road" is released across the United States.

June 6, 2006: DVD of "Glory Road" released.
